Nutrition Myth #3 Fats Make You Fat 🐷.

Eating fat must make you fat right? I mean why else would Adkins and Keto be so popular and are the quickest way to lose weight right? That’s a BIG FAT LIE. 

Currently the data shows when calories and protein are matched, weight loss is the same, when comparing low fat to high fat diets. (JAMA 2018 randomized clinical trail, 2014 meta analysis) 

Additionally, it’s worth nothing that saturated fats arnt the main driver of cardiovascular disease, trans fat are the only fat that’s links to poor health. (Institute of Medicine of The National Academies 2005) 

Good news is Trans fats have been banned in the US since 2015, however it’s still possible to find products that still have this as an ingredient so please check your nutrition labels.
