The baget beating is very trendy right now, with common myths that it makes you fat and because it has gluten in it, it should be avoided. However, this just simply isn’t true.

First and foremost, for all you back seat diet quarterbacks, GLUTEN ISNT A CARB, ITS A PROTEIN! It’s just commonly found in many carb based products. Furthermore, unless you actually have a medical condition like celiacs disease (an autoimmune disorder, not actually a food allergy) or have been diagnosed as being sensitive, you should not be eliminating any foods from your diet.

As for the fat claims, please observe (micklesen et al 79) bread study on weightloss. This study was 8 weeks long and had the participants eating 12 slices of a bread a day. The results, because they controlled for total calories, the average weight loss was 20 pounds!
