We here a lot about how age makes it harder to lose weight. But it this actually true? The science says no, age does not slow down your metabolism!

A recent study (Herman Pontzer et al. Science. 2021) of 6,000 people found that your metabolism doesn’t actually start to slow down until you’re over 60 years old! So its definitely not too late for you to get in shape!

The reality of why this myths persists is simply the fact that as we age, we become less active. Your weight gain isn’t because of your age, you’re just less active than when you were younger.
