Testosterone, obesity and COVID-19

Testosterone, obesity and COVID-19

With Covid-19 rates back on the rise, one of the best things you can do right now is become active, improve your diet and lose weight.

We already know the highest at risk people are of those whom are overweight or obese. However, continued data now supports those with low testosterone levels are less likely to survive COVID. (Ioannis Ilias et al. Minerva Endocrinol (Torino). 2021.)

Couple this with the fact that testosterone level drop lower the more overweight you become and now we have multiple compounding risk factors.

So how do we fix this? Just as I’ve stated above. Testosterone levels will naturally raise with weight loss. Additionally, resistance training and cardiovascular exercise is shown to reduce all cause mortality rates across the board!
